Why this exists
I'm the founder. I'm a developer based in India, and I've been building things on the internet since I was a teenager. The idea for ApplePriceHunt started when a friend casually mentioned he'd saved ₹9,000 on a MacBook by buying it in Vietnam. I didn't believe him until he showed me the invoice.
I spent a weekend researching. It turned out every "cheapest country to buy Apple products" article online was either outdated, wrong, or just showed Apple.com MSRP - which nobody actually pays in Vietnam, Japan, or Hong Kong. Real buyers pay real prices at local retailers, after VAT refunds, after negotiation. Nobody was tracking that.
So I built it. ApplePriceHunt started as a weekend scraper tracking 6 Vietnamese stores. Today we track 83 verified retailers across 6 countries, in 6 languages, with honest savings calculations that account for VAT, refunds, and real-world conditions. We update prices every 48 hours and we never, ever take money to manipulate rankings.

Email addresses you give us (newsletter, alerts) are used only for what you asked for. Never sold, never shared.

When we earn commissions, we say so. They don't affect rankings.
We'll never charge users.
The site is free and always will be. We're funded by retailer partnerships, not subscriptions.
We'll never stop updating.
Prices change. Retailers come and go. Tax laws update. We keep everything current.
How we make money (being honest)
Transparency matters. Here's exactly how ApplePriceHunt sustains itself:
Affiliate commissions. When you click 'Visit Store' and buy from some retailers, we may earn a small commission. This never affects which retailer ranks first - the cheapest verified price always wins, regardless of whether we earn anything.
Featured partnerships. Some retailers pay us to display a 'Featured' badge next to their listing. These are always clearly marked as sponsored. They never outrank cheaper retailers in price sorts.
Data licensing. We provide historical price data to researchers and publications on request.
That's it. No ads, no paywalls, no hidden fees, no data sales.
