Welcome to the March 2026 edition of our apple price tracker for Vietnam, Japan, and Hong Kong. Every month, I pull the latest prices from authorized retailers across these three countries and compare them against India. No stale data, no Apple.com-only comparisons - these are actual prices you'd pay if you walked into a store this week.
If you're traveling to any of these countries in the coming weeks, this is your reference sheet. Bookmark it. We update it on the last week of every month.
March 2026 Summary
Big picture this month: Vietnam continues to lead on MacBook pricing. Japan's gotten slightly cheaper as the yen has weakened another 2% since February. Hong Kong remains rock-solid for iPhones with its zero-tax advantage.
Exchange rates used (March 25, 2026):
- 1 VND = ₹0.00352
- 1 JPY = ₹0.608
- 1 HKD = ₹10.82
- 1 USD = ₹84.10
Key changes from last month:
- ShopDunk dropped MacBook Air M4 price by 300,000₫ - now the cheapest it's been all year
- Japan's yen weakened from ¥1 = ₹0.621 to ₹0.608, making Japan prices about 2% cheaper for Indian buyers
- Hong Kong iPhone 16 Pro pricing unchanged - HKD peg keeps things stable
- FPT Shop launched a bundle deal: MacBook Air M4 + AirPods 4 for 31,490,000₫ (saving about 1,200,000₫ vs. buying separately)

Winner this month: Hong Kong Apple Store - ₹1,01,700. Hong Kong's zero-tax continues to make it the best destination for iPhone purchases. The gap versus India is a staggering ₹33,200.
But if you're going to Vietnam (not Hong Kong), ShopDunk after VAT refund still saves you ₹22,440 on the iPhone 16 Pro. Not bad at all.

Winner this month: Hong Kong again, with a massive ₹20,140 savings on the iPad Air. Japan is also excellent at ₹60,070.

Winner: Hong Kong at ₹20,010. Though for AirPods, the absolute savings are smaller - it's a good add-on to a bigger purchase rather than something you'd travel for.
Apple Watch Ultra 2 - March 2026 Prices

Winner: Hong Kong continues to dominate on Apple Watch pricing. Japan has gotten really competitive this month with the yen movement.
March 2026 Trends & Commentary
The Yen is Your Friend Right Now
The yen's continued weakness has made Japan increasingly attractive for Apple shopping. In January 2026, 1 JPY was worth ₹0.635. Now it's ₹0.608. That's a 4.2% swing that directly translates to cheaper Japanese Apple prices for Indian buyers.
If you have a Japan trip planned in the next few weeks, now is a particularly good time to buy. But currencies can reverse quickly - don't count on this lasting forever.
ShopDunk's Aggressive March Pricing
ShopDunk has cut MacBook Air M4 pricing twice this quarter. My guess: they're clearing inventory ahead of potential M5 announcements later this year. Whatever the reason, the consumer wins - ₹87,490 after VAT refund is the best MacBook Air price I've tracked anywhere in Asia.

FPT Shop Bundle Deals
FPT Shop's MacBook Air M4 + AirPods 4 bundle at 31,490,000₫ is worth considering if you need both. Buying separately at FPT would cost about 32,690,000₫, so the bundle saves 1,200,000₫ (roughly ₹4,200). After VAT refund, the bundle comes to about 29,340,000₫ (₹1,03,280) for both products - compared to ₹1,15,390 for both from Apple India.
Hong Kong Stability
Hong Kong prices haven't moved in three months. The HKD peg to USD means very little currency fluctuation, and Apple hasn't adjusted HK pricing since the iPhone 16 launch. This makes Hong Kong the most predictable destination for price planning - what you see today is what you'll pay next month.

The trend is clearly downward. Vietnamese retailers are competing harder, and the savings are growing. March is the best month to buy a MacBook in Vietnam so far this year.
What to Expect in April 2026
A few things I'm watching:
- Apple Spring event - Typically late March or April. New product announcements often trigger retailer discounts on current models. If Apple announces M5 MacBooks, expect Vietnam retailers to slash M4 prices even further.
- Yen direction - Bank of Japan has been hinting at tightening monetary policy. If they act, the yen could strengthen and Japanese prices would go up for foreign buyers.
- Vietnam's Golden Week (April 30 - May 1) - Vietnamese retailers typically run promotions around Reunification Day. Could see even lower prices.
